2024年是中国和马来西亚建交50周年。马来西亚国际伊斯兰大学政治学者李佩敏在接受中新网专访时称，马中两国的合作已拓展到许多不同的领域，包括贸易投资、文化交流和能源等领域，双方合作成果显著。东海岸铁路项目是马中两国之间最大的经贸合作项目，该项目促进了马来半岛东西海岸的互联互通，也增加铁路沿线的贸易、投资及旅游业的发展。(陈彩霞)

　　This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. Lee Pei May, assistant professor of Department of Political Science at the International Islamic University Malaysia, noted that cooperation between China and Malaysia has expanded into many fields, including trade and investment, cultural exchange, and energy, yielding significant achievements. The East Coast Rail Link project, biggest economic and trade project between China and Malaysia, enhances connectivity between the east and west coasts and boosts trade, investment, and tourism development along the railway.
